The Value of the Mass

The Value of the Mass

Vocations

I was thinking about my blog the other day and was wondering how many people use the different things on my blog. Specifically, I was wondering about the vocation station. If you use the vocation station (the list of male orders on the right side) comment here and let me know. If it's successful enough, or if I get enough requests, I'll put a female counterpart here.

I have visited a few, but honestly, while I have no intention of leaving my husband for an order, I prefer looking at female orders.

I would love to see a list of "vocational orders" for the laity. The name of what those are is slipping my mind.

I don't Zach, but that is ONLY because I have explored many of them before and am in contact with the one in the United Kingdom. It is a very good resource.

Kristen, do you mean the likes of a sodality or confraternity? Or maybe you are still thinking of Orders, but as an oblate. For example, some diocesan Priests I know are Benedictine oblates.

Mark,

I am not sure which I mean, actually, heh. I know there are some laity that take vows of poverty and chastity, but stay outside an order, but the ones to which I refer are the those who do not take a vow of chastity but still work closely with an order. What am I talking about?

It sounds like you're talking about 3rd orders. I don't know of any 3rd orders that actually have websites. You usually have to get in contact with an order to find out if they have one.
