Lost but not Forgotten

Somtimes I weep when I think of what we have lost.

That is terribly, terribly, horribly sad. Where is this?

Can you tell the story of that altar? Just a pic tells so few for many of your readers.

I know that the altar is in Pennsylvania somewhere. I know that the Church is now a baptist church. I know the altar no longer exists. I want to say that the church is in Pittsburg, but I'm not 100% on that.

As for the story of the picture, it's a picture that was shown to me as I was working in the Jubilee Museum in Columbus.

Other than that, I don't know much about it.

In Missouri, west of St. Louis, was a Jesuit Seminary tat was sold to an evangelical group to use as their seminary. A friend and i went out to visit it while it was still "Jesuit Museum". the main chapel's altar had been ripped out and replaced by a keyboard and drumset.

At first I lamented what the new owners had done to the chapel. Then I remembered it was a Jesuit seminary, so it may have been that way since the 60's.
