This past week has been pretty cool for me. The new district superior for the North American District of the FSSP visited Holy Family. While he was there, I got to speak with him albeit briefly. I have to say that he was a very humble man who seemed to love being a priest. I'm happy to say that he is also a child of the Columbus diocese and at one time was assigned to Holy Family as a seminarian for the diocese! I'm glad that I was able to meet him. I think that the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter is in good hands here in North America.

If I'm not mistaken Fr. Berg is the superior for the whole of FSSP.
No, you're not mistaken, but I wasn't visited by Fr. Berg (The superior general.) I was visited by Fr. Flood (The district (North American) superior.)
Interesting. I didn't know that the American district had their own district superior.
What was he doing in Columbus?
And did I tell you? The FSSP has practically secured themselves a place in my archdiocese (residence at a local parish - not necessarily their own parish) all we're waiting on now is the North American Superior to finalize this (at least that's what I heard).
He knows Fr. Lutz really well, plus Holy Family (under the previous pastor) was his last assignemnt here in Columbus, so he stopped by for a visit.
